(1) Apart from what is written in the Act, the other work, duties and rights of the laboratory shall be as follows:-
(a) Prioritizing and testing items or items requested to be tested by the ministry or related agencies regarding environmental protection and pollution control,
(b) If it is found that the environment has been seriously affected due to the spread of a particular type of pollution, within the time period specified by the Ministry, the Ministry shall investigate and submit a report regarding such pollution.
(2) According to clause (b) of sub-rule (1), laboratories that do not have the technology to check for pollution shall have such pollution checked by a laboratory located abroad at the request of the relevant agency or ministry.
